Role Overview
Wigmore Trading is seeking an energetic and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Ouagadougou. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building new business relationships, promoting Wigmore’s product portfolio, and generating consistent sales growth within Burkina Faso’s dynamic trade sector.
This is a commission-based position ideal for an independent, driven professional who thrives on performance, networking, and international trade.
Key Responsibilities

Identify, contact, and onboard new clients, distributors, and wholesalers within Burkina Faso.

Promote Wigmore Trading’s range of FMCG, industrial, and commodity products.

Negotiate sales contracts, pricing, and delivery terms in coordination with the Lagos head office.

Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities.

Manage client relationships from initial inquiry to post-sale support.

Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and documentation.

Represent Wigmore Trading at trade fairs, exhibitions, and business networking events.

Provide sales updates and performance reports to regional management.
Qualifications & Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or trading.
-
Experience in FMCG, distribution, or import/export sectors is highly desirable.

Established relationships within Burkina Faso’s wholesale and retail sectors are an advantage.
Skills & Experience

Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills.

Fluency in French (English proficiency is an asset).

Knowledge of Burkina Faso’s trade, logistics, and regulatory environment.

Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
