Our customers operate in industries including food processing, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, agriculture, manufacturing, and industrial production. As we expand our chemical distribution division, we are looking for a driven and commercially minded Chemical Sales Manager to develop new markets and grow key client relationships.
Role Overview
The Chemical Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing and managing B2B relationships with manufacturers and industrial clients requiring chemical raw materials.
The role requires a combination of technical understanding of chemical products and strong commercial sales ability. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, manage customer accounts, and expand Wigmore Trading’s presence in the industrial chemicals market.
This is a high-impact commercial role suited to a professional with experience selling chemicals or industrial raw materials to manufacturers.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development

Identify and develop new B2B clients requiring industrial and specialty chemicals.

Build relationships with manufacturers in sectors such as food production, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, detergents, plastics, and agriculture.

Generate leads and convert opportunities into long-term customer relationships.
Sales & Revenue Growth

Promote and sell Wigmore Trading’s range of industrial chemicals and raw materials.

Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.

Prepare and present product proposals, quotations, and supply agreements.
Customer Relationship Management

Manage a portfolio of key industrial accounts.

Provide technical product information and guidance to customers.

Ensure excellent customer service and long-term client retention.
Market Development

Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing in the chemicals sector.

Identify new product opportunities and emerging industry demand.

Support expansion into new industrial segments.
Supplier & Product Coordination

Work closely with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure consistent product availability and competitive pricing.

Assist with product sourcing and portfolio development where necessary.
Requirements
Experience
-
5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in chemical distribution, industrial raw materials, or manufacturing inputs.

Proven track record of developing new business and achieving sales targets.

Experience selling to industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, plastics, agriculture, or industrial manufacturing.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Business, or a related field preferred.
Skills

Strong commercial negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Ability to understand and communicate technical chemical product specifications.

Excellent presentation and sales communication skills.

Self-motivated with strong business development ability.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with chemical importers, distributors, or raw material suppliers.

Existing network within manufacturing or industrial sectors in Nigeria.
