Role Summary

The Head of USSD & Voice Platform Services will lead the development and growth of Wigmore Trading’s USSD gateway and IVR platform solutions.

The role focuses on building resilient telecommunications infrastructure that supports high-volume USSD sessions, improves service reliability, and enables organisations to deliver faster and more efficient customer interactions.

This position requires a professional with strong experience in telecommunications infrastructure, USSD systems, IVR platforms, or telecom software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Platform Development

• Lead the development of Wigmore Trading’s USSD gateway and IVR modernisation platform.

• Design systems that improve session reliability, menu responsiveness, and system scalability.

• Implement intelligent routing, caching, and analytics capabilities to improve service performance.

Telecommunications Integration

• Build integrations with telecom operators and network infrastructure providers.

• Ensure the platform can handle high-volume USSD sessions and voice service traffic.

• Support banks, fintech companies, and service providers using USSD and IVR channels.

Platform Operations

• Implement monitoring tools that track session success rates, latency, and customer experience metrics.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure, USSD platforms, IVR systems, or telecom software development.

• Experience working with telecom operators, banking technology platforms, or digital service providers.

• Experience managing enterprise telecom platforms or telecom integration projects.

Skills

• Strong understanding of USSD and IVR technology platforms.

• Experience working with high-volume telecom traffic and system scalability.

• Strong product development and technical leadership capability.

• Ability to build partnerships with telecom operators and enterprise clients.
