The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Minerals Sales & Trading Executive with deep knowledge of the DRC mining sector and hands-on experience trading key minerals such as copper, cobalt, and coltan.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with mining operators, cooperatives, and suppliers
• Source, negotiate, and sell minerals to global buyers
• Identify new trading opportunities within the Katanga mining region
• Manage pricing, contracts, and transaction processes
• Monitor international commodity markets
• Ensure compliance with local mining and export regulations
• Coordinate logistics and shipment execution

Candidate Profile

Educational Background

Relevant degrees include:

• Geology
• Mining Engineering
• Mineral Processing
• Earth Sciences

Preferred institutions include:
University of Lubumbashi (UNILU), University of Kolwezi (UNIKOL), University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN), Institut Supérieur des Mines et Géologie.

Experience

• 3+ years in mineral trading, mining, or commodity sales
• Strong experience with copper, cobalt, or battery minerals
• Deep understanding of the DRC mining ecosystem
• Established industry relationships preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical and commercial understanding of minerals
• Excellent negotiation and deal execution skills
• Fluency in French (mandatory), English is an advantage
• Ability to operate in field-based environments
