Coffee Shop and Bar Equipment in Nigeria: Café, Beverage and Ice Machine Guide

Talk to us about this service

Trade, import, logistics, sourcing — whatever you're planning, the fastest way to a quote is a WhatsApp message. Our team replies during Lagos business hours.

Your message tells us which page you came from

Choosing coffee shop and bar equipment in Nigeria starts with the drinks you intend to sell and the number of orders you need to serve at busy periods. A café, hotel breakfast area, juice outlet and cocktail bar should not receive the same generic equipment package. Wigmore Trading accepts sourcing enquiries for commercial beverage equipment and related hospitality supplies.

Send your menu, projected service volume and site details through our restaurant and hotel supplies service. We can assess the purchase schedule and help clarify specifications for quotation, with product availability and service arrangements confirmed for the proposed equipment.

Specify coffee equipment around the menu

For espresso service, consider the machine, grinders, water treatment, milk refrigeration and staff workflow as one system. Ask about sustained output, warm-up, power and water requirements, cleaning routines and available service support. A domestic machine may not be designed for continuous commercial service.

For filter coffee, hotel breakfast or meeting rooms, compare batch size, holding method and service speed. If your menu includes decaffeinated beans, alternative milks or several brew methods, plan the additional storage, utensils and cleaning tasks.

Choose grinders and accessories with the machine

Grinder capacity, adjustment, workflow and ease of cleaning affect the consistency of the drinks served. Include scales, tampers where applicable, knock boxes, rinsing arrangements, cleaning supplies and spare service items. Ask the proposed supplier what training and maintenance are included.

Confirm who will commission equipment, explain routine care and provide parts. A well-known brand name alone does not establish local service coverage or warranty eligibility for a particular import.

Size ice production for real demand

For an ice machine enquiry, state the intended ice type, storage requirement and expected peak usage. Production figures depend on the manufacturer’s test conditions; high room temperatures, water conditions and ventilation can affect actual performance. Ask for output information relevant to your site.

Plan drainage, cleaning access and hygienic handling. Ice intended for drinks must be managed as food, including the source water, storage bin and handling tools. Follow the equipment instructions and your food-safety procedures rather than treating ice production as a standalone appliance purchase.

Plan the rest of the beverage line

Operation Possible equipment Key checks
Coffee service Commercial coffee machine, grinders, hot-water unit Peak output, utilities, cleaning and support
Juice and smoothies Blenders, juicers, chilled storage Ingredients, cleaning access, duty cycle and noise
Bar service Ice maker, undercounter refrigeration, glasswasher Layout, glass capacity, storage and drainage
Self-service drinks Dispensers and beverage counters Holding conditions, replenishment and customer access

Check water, refrigeration and washing

Have source water assessed for the intended equipment and beverage use. Specify treatment based on the actual result, equipment requirements and applicable drinking-water requirements. A basic filter does not automatically address every water-quality problem. Our water treatment procurement guide explains the information to include in an enquiry.

Coordinate milk, fruit and other perishable storage with the commercial refrigeration plan. Match cups and glassware to tableware and replacement stock, and check washing capacity using the dishwashing guide.

Compare complete installed cost

Ask for separate prices for equipment, accessories, delivery, installation, commissioning and training. Include water treatment, electrical work, drainage and any required counter modifications in your budget. Confirm lead times and warranty conditions before committing to an opening date.

For imported machines, check voltage, frequency, plugs or connection requirements and service documentation. Do not assume a listing intended for another market will work at your premises without assessment.

Use a service trial before final acceptance

Where practical, test a representative sequence of drinks with the staff who will operate the equipment. Include peak ordering, cleaning and replenishment rather than assessing only a single drink. Check counter reach, cup and glass storage, noise and the movement of milk, ice and waste.

Record the agreed configuration and accessories in the purchase order. Keep a clear schedule of what must be ready on site before installation and what the equipment provider will demonstrate at handover. This reduces avoidable delays close to opening.

Request a café or bar equipment proposal

Send Wigmore Trading your business location, menu, anticipated orders per busy hour, operating hours, available counter space, utilities and budget range. Include existing equipment details if adding to a current bar. Ask for a proposed equipment list with model-specific specifications and a clear responsibility schedule.

Planning a new outlet? Use our hospitality supply enquiry to discuss coffee, bar, ice and beverage equipment alongside your wider HORECA opening supplies.
