What buyers get wrong
  • Hibiscus is the lowest-density commodity on this list — freight, not FOB price, usually decides the landed cost.
  • Pesticide residue is the recurring rejection into the EU; buy tested or expect to argue at the border.
  • Colour fades with light and heat; packaging and stowage are part of the specification.
Order enquiry

Build the enquiry. We price it.

Everything a trader needs to quote you properly, in one pass. The summary builds as you go — send it to the desk, or take it straight to WhatsApp.

Each step adds cost at origin and removes it from your own plant. Pick where you want to take delivery.

Tick what your buyer, bank or customs authority will ask for. Anything unticked we will still advise on.

Who are we quoting?

We reply with an indicative price, a realistic shipment window and the documentation your destination requires. No obligation, and we will tell you if we think the trade does not work.

Execution

How an order runs.

1

Enquiry and indicative priceYou send the form. We come back with a price range against your specification, Incoterm and window — usually the same day.

2

Sample and specificationA drawn sample is sealed and sent, or tested at origin by your nominated agency. The approved sample becomes the contract standard.

3

Contract and termsQuantity, specification, tolerance, packaging, Incoterm, shipment window, inspection and payment agreed in writing before anything moves.

4

Aggregation and processingWe buy at origin and process to the stage you ordered. You get loading updates, not silence.

5

Quality and documentsPre-shipment inspection, laboratory analysis, phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin and fumigation as required.

6

Stuffing and shipmentContainer stuffed under supervision, sealed, booked and shipped from Lagos. Documents released against the agreed payment mechanism.

Common questions

Before you ask us.

What payment terms do you work on?
For a first trade, an irrevocable letter of credit at sight, or a part deposit against documents. Once a relationship has a history, terms open up. We will tell you plainly what we can do on a first order rather than agree to something and renegotiate later.
Can we appoint our own inspection agency?
Yes, and we encourage it. SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas, Cotecna or your own surveyor can draw and seal samples and attend stuffing. The inspection certificate becomes part of the document set.
Is the minimum order negotiable?
The minimum exists because a part container costs nearly as much to ship as a full one. If you need less, we can consolidate with other cargo — ask, and we will tell you whether it works on your route.
What if the consignment arrives off specification?
That is what the sealed sample, the pre-shipment analysis and the tolerance clause are for. Agree them before shipment and there is a basis for settlement. Agree nothing and there is only an argument.
Do you quote delivered to our door?
We quote FOB Lagos, CFR and CIF as standard, and DAP where we have a reliable partner at destination. We will not quote a delivered price into a market where we cannot control the clearing, because that price would not be real.
Can you supply under our own brand?
For processed and packed goods, yes — packaging to your artwork, with your marks on the bags or retail packs. Registration at destination is yours; we will tell you what it involves.
Specifications, loadings, seasons and lead times on this page are indicative trade figures for planning, not an offer. The HS code is given at heading level and should be confirmed with your customs broker. Every contract is agreed on its own terms against an approved sample.
Wigmore Trading

Tell us the tonnage and the port. We will tell you the price and the truth about the timing.

We buy at origin, process to your stage, handle the documents and ship from Lagos. If the trade does not work at your target price, we will say so rather than waste a season finding out.
