Quick answer

As of 28 September 2026, the Tecno Spark 7 is no longer sold new in Nigeria. Used and refurbished units on Jiji cost about ₦63,500 to ₦85,000, and most of them are the 2GB/32GB version. The Tecno Spark 7 Pro is now hard to find: the only listing we saw was a used 4GB/64GB unit at ₦55,000. For ₦80,000 to ₦100,000 you can buy a used Tecno Spark 20, which is a much newer phone. See the comparison below before you pay.

At a glance

  • Spark 7: launched April 2021. It has a Helio A25 chip, a 6.5-inch 720p screen and a 16MP main camera. The African version has a 5,000mAh battery.
  • Spark 7 Pro: launched late April 2021. It has a Helio G80 chip, a 6.6-inch 90Hz screen and a 48MP main camera, with a 5,000mAh battery.
  • New stock: none on Jumia Nigeria. The Spark 7 page there lists only cases and screen protectors.
  • Verdict: only worth it if it is very cheap and in good condition. Most buyers get more for their money from a used Spark 20 or Infinix Hot 40i.

Tecno Spark 7 and Spark 7 Pro price in Nigeria (2026)

Both phones are five years old. Tecno has moved on to the Spark 40 and Spark 50, and Jumia Nigeria no longer lists either model as a phone. You can only buy one second-hand, from Jiji sellers, phone markets such as Computer Village in Ikeja, or friends and family. These are the prices we saw on live Jiji listings on 28 September 2026:

Model and version Condition Listed price Where
Spark 7, 2GB/32GB Used ₦63,500 – ₦66,000 Osogbo, Abuja
Spark 7, 2GB/32GB Refurbished ₦85,000 Lagos (Ojo)
Spark 7, 64GB Used ₦75,000 Ibadan
Spark 7 Pro, 4GB/64GB Used ₦55,000 Ibadan
Spark 7 / 7 Pro, brand new New Not available None on Jumia NG

Source: live listings on Jiji.ng (Spark 7 category and a “Tecno Spark 7 Pro” search) and Jumia Nigeria, checked 28 September 2026. There were only four Spark 7 ads and one Spark 7 Pro ad, so treat these figures as a guide and not a market average.

How much is the Tecno Spark 7 4GB/64GB in Nigeria? Only one 64GB Spark 7 was listed, at ₦75,000. The ad said “8GB RAM”, but that probably counts Tecno’s virtual (extended) RAM. The Spark 7 was only made in 2GB/32GB, 3GB/64GB and 4GB/64GB versions. Budget roughly ₦70,000 to ₦80,000 for a clean 64GB unit, and pay less if it has any faults.

What it used to cost new

At the Nigerian launch in April 2021, Vanguard reported recommended retail prices for the Spark 7P of ₦60,900 (64GB) and ₦68,800 (128GB). By 2022, NaijaTechGuide listed the Spark 7 from about ₦77,000 and the Spark 7 Pro at ₦85,000. Used prices today are close to those old new prices because the naira has lost a lot of value since 2021, not because the phones have kept their value.

What affects the price

  • RAM and storage. A 2GB/32GB Spark 7 struggles with WhatsApp, a browser and the camera all running together. The 64GB versions cost more and are worth the extra.
  • Condition and repairs. Jiji ads for these phones often mention a replaced screen, cracked camera glass or a broken fingerprint sensor. Any of these should bring the price down, so ask the seller directly about each one.
  • Battery health. Any battery from 2021 has lost capacity. Before you agree a price, get a quote for a replacement battery from a repair shop near you and deduct it.
  • “Refurbished” vs “used”. On Jiji, “refurbished” often just means the phone has a new housing or screen. It is not a factory refurbishment. Do not pay much more for the label alone.
  • Box, charger and receipt. A phone with its original box and matching IMEI is easier to resell and less likely to be stolen.
  • Location. Lagos and Abuja listings usually sit at the top of the range.

Specs: Spark 7 vs Spark 7 Pro vs Spark 7P

Many people search for “Spark 7” and “Spark 7 Pro” as if they were the same phone. They are not, and in Nigeria Tecno also sold a third version, the Spark 7P. Check Settings > About phone to see which one a seller actually has.

Some older write-ups, including an earlier version of this page, gave the Spark 7 Pro a Full HD screen, a Helio P35 chip and USB-C. None of that is correct. It has a 720p screen and a microUSB port, and the Helio G80 is a noticeably faster gaming chip than the Spark 7’s Helio A25.

Is the Spark 7 still worth buying in 2026?

The Spark 7 Pro is the better of the two. The G80 chip still handles WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube and light games well, and the 90Hz screen feels smooth. If you find a clean one for ₦55,000 to ₦65,000, it makes a reasonable backup phone or a first phone for a teenager.

The basic Spark 7 is harder to recommend. The Helio A25 was an entry-level chip even in 2021, and the 2GB/32GB version fills up quickly. Both phones launched on Android 11, so do not expect newer Android versions. Some banking and fintech apps may eventually drop support for older Android versions, so check that the apps you need run on the phone before you pay.

Who it suits: someone who needs a cheap second line or a phone for a shop POS or WhatsApp orders, and who can get one for ₦60,000 or less. Who should skip it: anyone paying ₦75,000 or more, because at that price a used Spark 20 is a far better phone.

Better options at the same budget in 2026

With ₦55,000 to ₦90,000 you can only buy used. At that budget, a phone from 2023 or 2024 beats a Spark 7 in every way. If you can stretch to about ₦100,000 to ₦200,000, you can buy new with a warranty.

Phone Condition Price seen (Sept 2026) Why it beats a Spark 7
Tecno Spark 20 (128GB) Used ₦80,000 – ₦138,000 Helio G85, 90Hz, 50MP main and 32MP selfie cameras, 18W charging (2023)
Infinix Hot 40i (128GB) Used ₦90,000 – ₦165,000 Unisoc T606, 90Hz, 50MP, 5,000mAh, 18W (2023)
itel A100C (2GB/32GB or 64GB) New ₦103,040 – ₦116,570 Cheapest new smartphone we found on Jumia, with a 6.6″ screen, 5,000mAh battery and warranty
Infinix Smart 20 (4GB/64GB) New ₦156,316 – ₦175,000 Helio G81, 6.78″ 120Hz screen, 5,200mAh
Tecno Spark 50 (4GB/128GB) New about ₦190,000 – ₦245,000 The current Spark: Helio G81, 6.78″ 120Hz, 50MP, 7,000mAh, 18W, IP64

Prices: Jiji.ng used listings and Jumia Nigeria new listings (official and marketplace sellers), checked 28 September 2026. Specs: GSMArena, Tecno and the Jumia listing titles. The Spark 20 “8GB RAM” listings usually count virtual RAM.

Worked example. Say your budget is ₦75,000. A used 64GB Spark 7 at ₦75,000 gets you a 2021 entry-level chip. Add ₦5,000 to ₦20,000 and the cheapest used Spark 20 ads (₦80,000 to ₦95,000) get you double the storage, a 50MP camera, 18W charging and a phone two and a half years newer. If you can wait and save about ₦28,000 more, a new itel A100C comes with a warranty.

How to spot fakes, refurbs and stolen phones

Old Tecno models attract clones and “refurbished” phones rebuilt from mixed parts. Before you pay, go through this checklist:

  1. Dial *#06#. The IMEI on screen must match the IMEI on the box and in Settings. If they don’t match, walk away.
  2. Check the IMEI with Carlcare. Carlcare is the official after-sales service for Tecno, Infinix and itel. Its website and app offer a warranty check and a “Verify Authenticity” service. Carlcare explains how to find and check your IMEI.
  3. Confirm the model. Go to Settings > About phone. A “Spark 7 Pro” should show the Helio G80 and a 90Hz display option. If it shows a Helio A25, it is a plain Spark 7.
  4. Test everything. Test the fingerprint sensor, both cameras, front and rear flash, charging through the microUSB port, speaker and earpiece, and both SIM slots.
  5. Look at the screen. Lift-off at the edges, a yellow tint or a slow touch response usually means a cheap replacement screen.
  6. Meet in a public place and pay after testing. Never pay a “delivery fee” or deposit to a stranger online.
  7. Ask for a receipt or written note with the seller’s name, phone number and the IMEI.

Scammers also pretend to be well-known companies. Wigmore Trading, for example, only trades through the channels listed on its official safety page. The same rule applies to any phone seller: check before you pay.

Where to buy

  • Jiji.ng: most of the remaining Spark 7 stock. Prefer “verified” sellers with long histories and inspect the phone in person.
  • Computer Village (Ikeja) and local phone markets: you can compare several units on the spot, but test before paying.
  • Jumia Nigeria: no Spark 7 phones, but useful for cases and screen guards. It is the safer choice for the new models in the table above.

Frequently asked questions

The only Spark 7 Pro listing we found on Jiji (28 September 2026) was a used 4GB/64GB for ₦55,000. Clean units with the box may ask more. We would not pay above about ₦65,000 when a used Spark 20 starts around ₦80,000.

What is the price of Tecno Spark 7 4GB/64GB in Nigeria?

Expect roughly ₦70,000 to ₦80,000 for a clean used one. The only 64GB ad we saw was ₦75,000.

No. Both the Spark 7 and Spark 7 Pro use microUSB, and GSMArena does not list a fast-charging rating for either. Newer phones such as the Spark 20 and Spark 50 have 18W charging.

What replaced the Tecno Spark 7?

The Spark 8, then later generations up to the current Spark 50 (released April 2026). The Spark 50 sells new on Jumia Nigeria for about ₦190,000 to ₦245,000 (4GB/128GB, September 2026).
