About the Role

African Land is seeking a Sales & Rental Agent to lead our property sales and rental operations in Johannesburg and surrounding areas. The role focuses on driving property transactions in one of Africa’s most dynamic real estate markets, serving both local buyers and international clients.

We are looking for a motivated, customer-oriented professional with a strong understanding of Johannesburg’s property market, excellent negotiation skills, and the energy to help grow our footprint in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Rentals

• Generate, qualify, and close leads for both property sales and rentals.

• Conduct property showings, negotiations, and client follow-ups.

• Maintain and grow relationships with property owners, tenants, investors, and corporate clients.

• Market listings effectively through online platforms, social media, and direct outreach.

Market Development

• Monitor property market trends in Johannesburg and provide accurate advice to clients.

• Identify opportunities to expand African Land’s property portfolio in key neighborhoods.

• Work closely with management on pricing strategies and business development initiatives.

Transaction & Client Support

• Guide clients through the full sales and rental process, including contracts, compliance, and documentation.

• Coordinate with legal and financial stakeholders to ensure smooth transactions.

• Keep detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and performance metrics.

Reporting & Targets

• Meet monthly and quarterly sales and rental targets.

• Report performance and provide market insights to management.

• Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns and growth strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in property sales, rentals, or real estate.

• Solid knowledge of Johannesburg’s property market and surrounding areas.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Self-motivated, results-driven, and entrepreneurial.

• Ability to manage multiple clients and transactions simultaneously.

• Proficiency with CRM systems and online property platforms.

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Johannesburg.
