About African Land

African Land is a fast-growing real estate and property services company focused on land acquisition, property development, and investment opportunities across Africa. As part of our expanding property portfolio, we are developing a short-term rental and serviced apartment business in Accra, targeting both local and international guests.

We are looking for an experienced Short-Term Rental Property Manager to help establish and manage our short-stay rental operations across platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, and other online travel channels.

Role Overview

The Short-Term Rental Property Manager will be responsible for setting up, listing, marketing, and managing short-stay rental properties across multiple booking platforms. The role will focus heavily on the back-end operational side of short-term rental management, including listing optimization, pricing strategy, booking management, and guest communication.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing Airbnb or serviced apartment listings, understands the operational side of short-term rentals, and can help grow occupancy and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Listing & Platform Management

• Create and manage property listings on Airbnb, Booking.com, and other booking platforms.

• Optimize listings with high-quality descriptions, pricing strategies, and property details to improve bookings.

• Ensure all listings remain updated with accurate availability, pricing, and policies.

Marketing & Booking Optimization

• Develop strategies to increase occupancy rates and booking performance.

• Monitor and adjust pricing strategies based on demand, seasonality, and market trends.

• Support marketing efforts to promote properties through online platforms and digital channels.

Booking & Guest Management

• Monitor incoming bookings and manage guest communication before, during, and after stays.

• Coordinate check-in and check-out procedures.

• Handle guest inquiries, reviews, and feedback professionally.

Property Operations Coordination

• Coordinate with cleaning teams, maintenance providers, and property staff to ensure properties are guest-ready.

• Monitor property performance and maintain high guest satisfaction ratings.

• Ensure properties meet hospitality and guest service standards.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

• Monitor booking performance, occupancy rates, and revenue metrics.

• Provide regular reports on property performance and growth opportunities.

• Identify ways to improve listings and increase revenue.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience managing short-term rental properties or serviced apartments.

• Hands-on experience managing Airbnb, Booking.com, or similar platforms from the operational/back-end side.

• Proven ability to improve occupancy rates and listing performance.

Skills

• Strong understanding of short-term rental platforms and channel management tools.

• Experience with dynamic pricing strategies and listing optimization.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple properties and bookings simultaneously.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing serviced apartments or hospitality properties.

• Familiarity with property management systems and channel managers.

• Experience in digital marketing for short-term rental listings.
