Wigmore Trading is expanding its creative and media production division and is seeking highly skilled and innovative Animators and Cartoonists to join our content creation and advertising team. This is not just about ad spots or social media reels — it’s about building characters, storytelling, and potentially creating original IPs that can evolve into animated series, movies, or brand mascots.

You’ll collaborate with our marketing, strategy, and production teams to breathe life into characters, sketch engaging worlds, and translate product messaging into entertaining visual stories.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and create 2D/3D animations, motion graphics, and short-form content for digital marketing campaigns.

• Design original characters and environments aligned with brand goals.

• Work closely with scriptwriters and marketers to develop storyboards and animated sequences.

• Potential to collaborate on original scripts for web shows, children’s programming, or feature-length animations.

• Edit and refine visual content for different media platforms (social, YouTube, mobile ads).

• Manage production timelines and deliver projects to tight deadlines.

📚 Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for top creative talent in Nigeria, ideally with strong academic and professional backgrounds. Examples of relevant qualifications and institutions include:

Education:

• B.A./B.Sc. in Animation, Fine Arts, Media Arts, Visual Communication, or related fields from institutions such as:

🔍 Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience as an animator, cartoonist, or motion designer.

• Proficient in Adobe Animate, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and any relevant 2D/3D animation software.

• Strong illustration skills and the ability to animate expressive characters and dynamic scenes.

• A solid portfolio showcasing animation reels, character design, and creative storytelling.

• Understanding of storytelling, pacing, cinematography, and humor in animation.

• Experience creating content for advertising, YouTube, or streaming platforms is a plus.
