Role Overview

Wigmore Trading is seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Commission-Only Sales Associate to represent the company in Kano and throughout Northern Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and achieving strong sales growth in FMCG, industrial, and commodity sectors.

This role is ideal for a self-motivated sales professional with excellent networking abilities and a passion for business development and trade.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and retailers across Kano and Northern Nigeria.

  • Promote Wigmore Trading’s portfolio of FMCG, industrial, and commodity products.

  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with clients in coordination with head office.

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive activity.

  • Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient delivery and customer satisfaction.

  • Represent Wigmore Trading at trade fairs, exhibitions, and local business events.

  • Maintain accurate records of client data, sales performance, and market feedback.


Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or International Trade preferred.

  • 3–5 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or trading.

  • Experience in FMCG, import/export, or B2B distribution is advantageous.

  • Strong network of business contacts in Kano and Northern Nigeria is preferred.


Skills & Experience

  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proven ability to achieve or exceed sales targets.

  • Fluency in English and Hausa required.

  • Strong knowledge of Nigeria’s trade and logistics environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

  • Self-disciplined, professional, and able to work independently.
