As part of our expansion strategy, Wigmore Trading is launching a digital platform for managing financial service agent networks and micro-insurance distribution.
The platform will help banks, telecom operators, and fintech companies digitally onboard, manage, and support thousands of agents who provide services such as payments, airtime sales, SIM registration, and financial transactions.
Role Summary
The Head of Agent Networks & Micro-Insurance Platforms will lead the development and growth of Wigmore Trading’s agent network management platform and micro-insurance distribution ecosystem.
The role focuses on building systems that enable financial institutions and telecom operators to onboard agents digitally, monitor performance, process transactions, and distribute financial products such as insurance and payments services.
This position requires a professional with strong experience in agent banking, fintech platforms, micro-insurance distribution, or financial services infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Platform & Product Development

Lead the development of Wigmore Trading’s agent network management platform.

Build systems that enable digital onboarding, agent verification, transaction monitoring, and performance tracking.

Integrate micro-insurance products into agent distribution networks.
Agent Network Operations

Develop operational frameworks for large-scale agent networks across Nigeria.

Implement tools for agent training, onboarding, and compliance management.

Establish systems for monitoring agent activity and service performance.
Payments & Financial Services Integration

Integrate the platform with payment systems, airtime APIs, and banking infrastructure.

Enable agents to perform services such as payments processing, account services, and insurance distribution.

Ensure reliable transaction reconciliation and reporting systems.
Partnerships & Market Expansion

Build partnerships with banks, payment service banks (PSBs), telecom operators, and fintech companies.

Work with financial institutions seeking to expand their agent banking and merchant networks.

Expand the platform’s reach through partnerships with agent associations and merchant networks.
Compliance & Governance

Ensure compliance with agent banking regulations, KYC requirements, and financial service guidelines.

Implement strong monitoring systems for fraud prevention and compliance reporting.

Maintain secure systems for handling financial transactions and agent data.
Requirements
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience
-
7+ years of experience in fintech platforms, agent banking networks, financial service distribution, or payments infrastructure.

Experience managing large-scale agent networks or financial service platforms.

Experience working with banks, fintech companies, or telecom operators.
Skills

Strong understanding of agent banking and financial service distribution models.

Experience building digital platforms for transaction processing and network management.

Strong operational leadership and stakeholder management capability.

Ability to develop partnerships with financial institutions and service providers.
Preferred Qualifications
