Role Overview

African Land is seeking an ambitious and customer-focused Property Representative to join its operations in Yaoundé. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client interactions, maintaining property listings, coordinating sales and leasing activities, and representing the African Land brand across Cameroon’s property market.

This role suits a professional with excellent communication skills, a strong knowledge of the Cameroonian real estate environment, and the ability to deliver consistent results in a fast-growing market.


Key Responsibilities

  • Source, onboard, and manage residential, commercial, and land listings in Yaoundé and nearby regions.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with landlords, property owners, tenants, and investors.

  • Conduct property inspections, valuations, and viewings.

  • Prepare and manage leasing and sales documentation in line with company policies.

  • Support negotiations between clients, ensuring fair and compliant agreements.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop property listings and promotional materials.

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and report on property and client activity.

  • Represent African Land at real estate exhibitions, business events, and client meetings.


Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Professional certification in property management, brokerage, or real estate law is an advantage.

  • Benchmark universities for candidate caliber:

    • University of Yaoundé I – Economics, Law, or Management

    • Catholic University of Central Africa – Business or Social Sciences

    • University of Douala – Commerce, Urban Planning, or Economics

    • Université de Ngaoundéré – Business or Land Management

    • Comparable institutions such as the University of Nairobi, University of Lagos, or University of Ghana reflect the desired academic quality.


Skills & Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in real estate sales, leasing, or property representation.

  • Strong understanding of Cameroon’s real estate market, particularly in Yaoundé.

  • Excellent negotiation, client service, and interpersonal skills.

  • Fluency in French and English is essential.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and digital marketing tools.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
