Cars, motorcycles, tyres and vehicle parts from India need model-level identification and destination checks. A complete vehicle, replacement part and tyre are different procurement enquiries. Wigmore Trading can discuss sourcing and export logistics once the buyer’s technical and legal requirements are clear.
Complete vehicles and motorcycles
For cars, motorcycles and cycles, confirm steering configuration, powertrain, emission or other applicable specifications, equipment and intended registration market. Availability in India does not prove that the same variant can be registered or supported elsewhere.
New and used vehicles need different condition and documentary checks. Verify ownership, identification, service history where relevant and the proposed export route. Check destination age limits, standards and importer obligations before a purchase commitment.
Replacement parts and tyres
Parts for vehicles in headings 8701 to 8705 and bi-wheel vehicle parts must fit the actual application. Use manufacturer part numbers, drawings or verified cross-references. Distinguish genuine, original-equipment, aftermarket, used and refurbished parts explicitly.
Rubber tyres need size, load and speed ratings, construction, application, production information and condition. Do not treat used, retreaded and new tyres as equivalent. Destination restrictions can differ; verify the actual category before shipping.
Supplier and brand claims
Check the seller’s identity, right to supply and any claimed manufacturer appointment. A distributor’s ability to sell locally does not automatically authorise export into another brand territory. Confirm warranty validity and support in the receiving country.
For parts, agree packaging, markings, traceability and inspection. A copied brand label is not evidence of authenticity. For vehicles, independent condition checks should identify the unit inspected and the limitations of the inspection.
Delivery and landed cost
| Area | Buyer’s requirement |
|---|---|
| Vehicle | Exact variant, identification, condition and registration eligibility. |
| Parts | Compatibility, origin, quality and warranty. |
| Freight | Accepted method, securing, declared condition and required documents. |
| Destination | Taxes, clearance, registration, inspection and inland delivery. |
Confirm carrier acceptance for vehicles with fuel, batteries or other relevant transport conditions. Compare quotations on the same scope, including port handling and delivery. An export price is not the final registered-on-road cost.
Request an offer from Wigmore
Send the vehicle or parts specification, quantity, destination and delivery basis. We can discuss supplier identification, inspection and transport coordination within an agreed scope. Brand appointment, availability, price, warranty and registration eligibility require specific confirmation.
For fleet purchases, include spare-parts planning, training and maintenance capability. A good initial vehicle price is of limited value if the fleet cannot be supported in service.
