Special-purpose vessels and civil aircraft parts from India require specialist technical and documentary review. These are not ordinary catalogue purchases. Wigmore Trading can discuss a lawful sourcing and project-logistics enquiry, with qualified technical parties establishing suitability, title, certification and eligibility.
Special-purpose vessels
Define the work: cargo handling, support, construction or another permitted civil operation. Specify capacity, dimensions, machinery, operating area, class or statutory requirements and crew or equipment needs. A broad vessel type does not establish suitability for a route or project.
For used vessels, verify identification, ownership, encumbrances, records and condition through appropriate professionals. An independent survey should have a defined scope and limitations. Do not infer seaworthiness or valid operating status from sale photographs.
Newbuild and conversion enquiries
Agree the technical specification, approved drawings, construction milestones, inspection access and acceptance process. Identify who is responsible for class, flag and statutory interfaces. Conversion or modification can affect approvals and should be assessed before work is priced.
Project delivery includes more than the build price. Budget for surveys, documentation, mobilisation, delivery voyage or transport, insurance and receiving arrangements where applicable. Confirm who owns each risk at handover.
Civil aircraft parts
Use the exact part number, applicability, condition and traceability requirements established by the operator’s approved technical team. New, repaired, overhauled and used parts need distinct evidence. A similar-looking component is not an acceptable substitute.
Airworthiness and installation eligibility must be established by the authorised aviation parties and applicable regulator. Export paperwork alone does not make a part eligible for installation. Retain release documentation and traceability through the supply chain.
Controls and quality evidence
| Area | Required review |
|---|---|
| Vessel | Title, identification, survey, class or statutory status and intended operation. |
| Aircraft part | Part identity, condition, release evidence, traceability and applicability. |
| Export | Classification, end user, end use and any required authorisation. |
| Delivery | Custody, preservation, accepted transport and receiving checks. |
Current Indian controls and destination requirements should be checked for the actual item. No general unrestricted export promise is made for aerospace or specialist marine equipment.
Send Wigmore a technical brief
Provide the specification, required evidence, quantity or project scope, destination and schedule. Our team can assess supplier-identification and logistics requirements within an agreed service boundary. Manufacturer appointment, survey findings, certification and delivery commitments are confirmed for the specific project.
Technical acceptance remains with the appropriately qualified buyer, operator and authorities. Procurement coordination should support that process, not bypass it.
