Digital-asset liquidity proposals need careful verification of the provider, activity and asset. An exchange, issuer or institution should understand the commercial arrangement, custody, conflicts and permissions before relying on a market-making or OTC offer. Wigmore Trading accepts preparatory research and business-support enquiries. This page does not offer crypto execution, custody, token promotion, investment advice or a liquidity service through Wigmore.

Define the asset and provider role

Identify the token or instrument, venue, intended activity and contracting entities. Exchange operation, custody, brokerage, principal trading and issuer-sponsored liquidity can be different functions. A technology supplier or corporate registration does not establish permission for all of them. Stablecoin branding should not be treated as proof of a guaranteed value, bank deposit or unconditional redemption right.

Due-diligence area Evidence to request
Regulatory position Current status, permitted activity, conditions and relevant jurisdictions.
Asset and venue Terms, trading access, restrictions and actual supported markets.
Custody Who controls assets, access rights and withdrawal processes?
Commercial model Fees, token or inventory arrangements, conflicts and termination.
Integrity Controls against misleading volume, manipulative activity and undisclosed conflicts.

Check the status and its limits

The SEC’s rules resource includes digital-asset material. Its August 2026 ARIP statement explains admission and approval-in-principle within a defined programme scope and conditions. Do not present programme admission, an application or a historical announcement as unlimited authorisation. Confirm the actual current status directly through appropriate official channels.

Liquidity support must not manufacture a market

Ask how quotes, inventory and conflicts are governed. Avoid agreements that seek artificial volume, misleading depth, wash trades or a predetermined token price. A legitimate provider comparison should examine transparent obligations and reporting. A token launch or issuer relationship does not justify deceptive trading or a promise that a price will be maintained.

Custody and counterparty exposure

Identify the legal holder of assets and how operational access is controlled. Review segregation, reconciliation, withdrawal, incident and insolvency questions with qualified advisers. An API connection does not transfer legal protection by itself. Never send private keys, seed phrases, credentials or funds in an initial business-support enquiry.

Assess automation and infrastructure claims

A bot, algorithm or white-label interface should be reviewed for the actual function, permissions and operating responsibilities. Ask how changes are approved, failures are detected and activity is audited. A demonstration or backtest cannot establish future liquidity or returns. Automated trading does not remove risk, governance obligations or the need to understand the agreement.

Compare measurable service proposals

Request the precise scope, venues, reporting measures, fees and exclusions. Distinguish observed spreads and depth from guarantees. Define how the provider can stop, reduce or terminate activity, and what happens to inventory or token arrangements. Have qualified legal and compliance professionals review binding terms before engagement.

Discuss preparatory research with Wigmore

Send a non-confidential description of your organisation’s role, jurisdiction, asset category and research question. We can clarify available commercial-support scope and professional dependencies. This page does not endorse a token, verify a named provider, announce a regulated Wigmore digital-asset service or accept a transaction instruction.

Discuss your preparatory support requirement

Send a non-confidential brief with your organisation’s role, market or commodity, research or procurement needs and dates. Wigmore can clarify available business-support scope and specialist dependencies. Regulated work must remain with appropriately authorised providers.
