Jack Daniel’s is a Tennessee whiskey made in Lynchburg, Tennessee. The brand dates its founding to 1866. What sets it apart is charcoal mellowing: the new spirit is filtered “drop by drop” through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal before it is aged. In Nigeria, Old No. 7 is a staple on lounge shelves, and the flavoured bottles (Honey, Fire and Apple) are just as popular at parties.

Jack Daniel’s 1 litre price in Nigeria

The 1-litre bottle is one of the most searched sizes. It is also the hardest to pin down. None of the Nigerian online stores we checked in September 2026 had a standard 1L Old No. 7 listed, and Jumia’s Jack Daniel’s brand page showed no products at all. The only 1L bottle we found was the collector’s Sinatra Select at about ₦330,000, which is a different product altogether.

How to judge a 1L quote when you get one:

• A litre holds about 1.43 times as much as a 70cl bottle. At ₦24,750–₦28,500 for 70cl, the same whiskey works out to roughly ₦35,400–₦40,700 per litre at 70cl prices. A fair 1L quote should land near that, often a little below.
• 1L bottles are common in duty-free shops, so many sold locally are personal imports. Ask where the bottle came from, and check that the seal and label match a genuine 1L presentation.
• If the price is far below the 70cl-equivalent, walk away.

Jack Daniel’s price in Shoprite and on Jumia

Shoprite: We tried to check Shoprite Nigeria’s online store on 28 September 2026, but it did not load, so we have no verified shelf price. Use the online range (₦24,750–₦28,500 for 70cl) as your benchmark. Check the shelf tag in your branch, because prices vary between locations. The advantage of a supermarket is the receipt and a formal supply chain, not necessarily a lower price.

Jumia: Jumia’s Jack Daniel’s brand page returned no products when we checked in September 2026. Third-party sellers do list the brand from time to time. If you see a listing, check who is selling it, compare the price with the table above, and read the return policy for opened or damaged bottles.

Carton prices and a worked example

Say you are buying 12 × 70cl Old No. 7 for a party or a bar. Here is how the options compared in September 2026:

• 12 single bottles at Naija Liquor’s ₦28,500 = ₦342,000
• 12 single bottles at My Liquor Hub’s ₦24,750 = ₦297,000
• A Jiji carton at ₦230,000–₦260,000 = ₦19,200–₦21,700 a bottle

On paper, the marketplace carton saves ₦37,000–₦112,000. The catch is that a carton priced well below single-bottle retail from an unknown seller is exactly how fake and refilled whiskey gets moved. Only buy a carton if you can inspect it before paying. Check that all 12 bottles share a consistent batch code and fill level, and get an invoice with the seller’s business name. What affects the price of Jack Daniel’s in Nigeria

• Exchange rate. Jack Daniel’s is imported and priced in dollars at source, so a weaker naira feeds straight into new stock prices.
• Duties and levies. Import duty, excise, VAT and port clearing all add up before a bottle reaches the shelf. Our landed cost calculator shows how.
• Variant. The flavoured bottles sit at about the same price as Old No. 7. Gentleman Jack and Single Barrel cost roughly ₦7,750–₦36,500 more.
• Stock levels. Premium variants often show “out of stock”. When they come back, the price can jump.
• Channel. Supermarkets and online stores keep prices steady. Marketplace and roadside prices swing, and the cheapest are the riskiest.
• Season and events. December and wedding season lift demand.

How to spot a fake Jack Daniel’s

1. Price check. A 70cl Old No. 7 well below ₦20,000 from a stranger is a warning.
2. Cap and seal. The seal should be unbroken and the cap should not spin loosely. Look for any sign of glue or re-crimping.
3. Label. Genuine labels have sharp printing and no spelling errors. Blurry text or a crooked label points to a refill.
4. Bottle. The square bottle should have clean embossing and no chips or scuffs from repeated reuse.
5. Liquid. Look for an even amber colour with no sediment. Across a carton, fill levels should match.
6. NAFDAC number and batch code. Both should be on the bottle. You can check registered products on the NAFDAC website.
