Position Overview
The Chief Infrastructure & Industrial Development Officer is responsible for identifying, developing and delivering large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects that support Wigmore Trading’s long-term growth.
This executive will lead initiatives across logistics, ports, warehousing, industrial parks, manufacturing, energy, transport and public-private partnerships.
The role combines strategic planning, commercial execution and stakeholder engagement to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and create lasting economic value.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop the Group’s infrastructure and industrial development strategy.
- Lead planning and execution of major capital projects.
- Identify opportunities for public-private partnerships.
- Manage relationships with government agencies, engineering firms and development partners.
- Oversee industrial estate, logistics and warehousing developments.
- Support investments in transport, energy and manufacturing.
- Ensure projects meet environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
- Advise the Board on infrastructure investment priorities.
- Strengthen the Group’s operational capabilities across Africa.

- Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport
- Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Power
- Director-General, Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC)
- Executive, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA)
- Executive, Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC)
- Executive, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN)
- Executive, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA)
- Executive, Nigerian Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA)
- Senior Military Engineer or Corps of Engineers Commander
- Senior Official, Ministry of Housing & Urban Development
- Senior Executive within a state infrastructure development agency
Experience working with multilateral infrastructure programmes is highly desirable.
