Job Overview:
African Land is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our growing technical team in Lagos. This role is ideal for a professional with hands-on experience in solar panel installation, electrical systems, and modern high-tech equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering reliable, efficient, and innovative energy and electrical solutions across our projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial projects
- Design and install solar panel systems, inverters, and battery storage solutions
- Conduct site inspections and assess electrical requirements for new installations
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions
- Work with advanced electrical and electronic systems, including smart technologies
- Ensure all installations comply with Nigerian safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other technicians on-site
- Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, and inspections
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an electrician, preferably within solar or renewable energy projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols
- Experience installing solar panels, inverters, and related components
- Ability to handle high-tech and sophisticated electrical equipment
- Relevant technical certification (e.g., NABTEB, Trade Test, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2–5 years of practical experience
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with off-grid and hybrid solar systems
- Familiarity with energy efficiency systems and smart home technologies
- Basic understanding of electrical design and load calculations
- Experience working on construction or infrastructure projects
