The Opportunity
We are looking for a commercially strong Senior Minerals Sales & Trading Executive with proven experience in Ghana’s mining sector, particularly in gold and bulk minerals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with miners, aggregators, and suppliers
- Source and trade minerals such as gold, bauxite, manganese, and lithium
- Identify and manage buyer relationships
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities
- Ensure compliance with Ghanaian mining regulations
- Coordinate export and logistics processes
Candidate Profile
Educational Background
Relevant degrees include:
- Geology
- Mining Engineering
- Mineral Engineering
- Earth Sciences
- Metallurgical Engineering
Preferred institutions include:
UMaT Tarkwa, University of Ghana, KNUST, University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR).
Experience
- 3+ years in mineral sales, trading, or mining
- Strong understanding of Ghana’s gold and minerals sector
- Experience working with mining communities or exporters
- Existing network is highly beneficial
Skills & Competencies
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- Deep understanding of mineral markets
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks
- Target-driven and entrepreneurial mindset
