Tecno Spark 4 price in Nigeria (2026)
Because Tecno stopped making the Spark 4 years ago, there is no official price any more. What you pay depends on who is selling and what condition the phone is in. Here is what we found from sources we opened.

Only two Spark 4 listings were live on Jiji when we checked on 28 September 2026, so treat the figures as a guide. Some spec sites still show a “new” price above ₦100,000 for the Spark 4. That is not a real street price for a 2019 budget phone, so ignore it.
What affects the price you’ll pay
- Condition. “Fairly used” phones with a scratched screen or a weak battery should sit at the bottom of the range.
- RAM. The 3GB version is a little quicker than the 2GB version and usually costs slightly more.
- Accessories. A phone with its original charger and box is worth more, and is also less likely to be stolen.
- Location. Prices in Computer Village (Ikeja) or Nnewi are often lower than in smaller towns, where fewer units are available.
- Scarcity. Very few Spark 4s are left in circulation. A seller asking close to the price of a new entry-level phone is overcharging.
Tecno Spark 4 specifications
The old version of this page listed a Snapdragon 835 chip and a 3,000mAh battery. Both were wrong. These are the correct specifications, checked against two independent spec listings:

Spark 4, Spark 4 Pro or Spark 40? Clearing up the names
Many people who search “Spark 4 price” are really looking for something else. Here are the common mix-ups:
- “Spark 4 Pro”. We could not find a Tecno Spark 4 Pro in any spec database or live listing we checked. Sellers who use the name usually mean a 3GB Spark 4 or, more often now, the Spark 40 Pro. On Jumia in September 2026 the Spark 40 Pro (8GB/128GB) was listed at about ₦316,000–₦380,000.

- Spark 40. This is Tecno’s current Spark generation. Jumia’s old “Tecno Spark 4” page now shows Spark 40 and Spark 50 phones, which confuses a lot of shoppers.

Is the Tecno Spark 4 still worth buying in 2026?
For most people, no, unless you need a cheap backup phone, a phone for a child, or a handset just for WhatsApp and calls. Here is why:
- Old software. It shipped with Android 9. Newer versions of banking apps and some messaging apps drop support for old Android versions over time, and a phone this old gets no security updates.
- Tired batteries. Any Spark 4 still in circulation has a battery that is several years old. Budget on replacing it.
- 32GB fills fast. WhatsApp media alone can fill it. You will need a microSD card.
- Weak chip. The Helio A22 was an entry-level chip even in 2019. Expect lag with several apps open.
Where it still makes sense: a used unit for under ₦40,000 in good condition, with a 4,000mAh battery that still lasts a day, is a workable “calls and WhatsApp” phone. Compare that with a brand-new Spark 40 at around ₦190,000 or more, and the Spark 4 costs about a fifth as much.
Checklist: buying a used Tecno Spark 4
- Dial *#06# and check that the IMEI on screen matches the IMEI on the box and the SIM tray label.
- Check the specs in Settings › About phone. You should see the Spark 4 model name, 2GB or 3GB RAM, and 32GB storage.
- Test both SIM slots with your own SIM. Make a call and load a web page on 4G.
- Test the battery. Ask for the phone to be handed over charged, then watch whether the percentage drops fast while you use the camera for a few minutes.
- Check the fingerprint sensor, face unlock, speaker, microphone, charging port and headphone jack.
- Make sure the Google account is removed and the phone has been reset in front of you. Otherwise it may be FRP-locked after a reset (more on this in our UK-used phone buying guide).
- Look at the screen on a white background for dead pixels, yellow patches or touch dead zones.
How to avoid fakes and scams
- Beware the “new Spark 4, sealed” pitch. Genuine sealed stock of a 2019 phone is rare. Treat a “brand new” label as “check very carefully”.
- Clones exist. A phone showing “4GB/64GB” in the listing but 2GB in Settings, or with a blurry HiOS logo at boot, is a red flag.
- Meet in public, pay after testing. On marketplaces like Jiji, never pay a “delivery deposit” before you have seen the phone.
- Ask for a receipt with the IMEI written on it, plus the seller’s name and phone number.
