Drilling Tenders and Vendor Registration in Nigeria: Bid-Readiness Guide

Talk to us about this service

Trade, import, logistics, sourcing — whatever you're planning, the fastest way to a quote is a WhatsApp message. Our team replies during Lagos business hours.

Your message tells us which page you came from

A drilling tender is useful only when the opportunity, buying entity and requirements are genuine and current. Operators seeking rigs and suppliers looking for contracts need different enquiries, but both benefit from a clear scope and traceable evidence. A list of industry names is not a live tender register.

Wigmore Trading welcomes sourcing, procurement-support and bid-readiness enquiries for defined projects. This page does not promise an award, an invitation to bid, a government introduction or access to confidential procurement information.

Verify the opportunity before preparing a bid

Identify the official notice, buyer, reference, closing date and submission route. Confirm that amendments and clarifications come through an authorised channel. A forwarded message claiming an upcoming campaign does not establish a purchasing mandate.

For opportunities using NipeX, start with its official portal guidance. Vendor management, service categorisation and participation conditions need review for the actual event. Registration alone does not guarantee an invitation or contract.

Build a current vendor evidence file

Area Evidence to organise
Company and authority Identity, ownership and authority for the offered scope
Capability Relevant personnel, assets, experience and delivery arrangements
Regulatory position Current applicable permits and category evidence
Quality and safety Required systems, records and project-specific commitments
Commercial offer Complete scope, assumptions, validity and exclusions

Keep evidence accurate and dated. Do not claim ownership of a rig, OEM appointment or local manufacturing capability without supporting documents.

Respond to the technical scope

Whether the request concerns onshore, offshore, jack-up, workover or a multi-well campaign, identify every mandatory requirement and responsible specialist. Record deviations openly rather than hide them in a generic brochure.

If a rig is offered through an owner or partner, establish authority, current status and preparation needs. A photograph, old specification sheet or informal availability statement should not be treated as a binding commitment.

Make the commercial comparison meaningful

Separate rig hire, personnel, maintenance, mobilisation, demobilisation, fuel, specialist services, inspection and other included items. Define the treatment of standby, changes and cancellation. A compliant technical proposal can still be commercially unclear if exclusions are scattered across documents.

Use the buyer’s required format and submission rules. Track approvals and version control so the final bid reflects the authorised offer, not an earlier draft.

Plan sourcing support without overstating access

Wigmore can assess a defined procurement brief and discuss supplier search, equipment schedules or logistics scope. Any proposed partner or asset must be verified. The buyer’s procurement process determines qualification and award.

Do not pay an unofficial fee for a guaranteed contract or disclose portal passwords to a third party. Verify payment instructions and changes through the organisation’s established channels.

Does this page list currently open tenders?

No. It provides a bid-readiness framework. Check the buyer’s current official notices for actual opportunities and deadlines.

How should an operator request support?

Send the rig or service specification, location, programme, expected dates and procurement stage. Suppliers seeking support should provide the genuine tender reference and a non-confidential description of the assistance needed.

Prepare your rig-services enquiry

Before contacting us, note the asset type and identity, project location, intended work, approved specifications, programme dates and current readiness. Identify the equipment, personnel or services required and who controls technical acceptance. Separate confirmed information from assumptions and list any approvals still outstanding.

Use a non-confidential brief initially. Do not send credentials, restricted well data, private personnel records or confidential contract files through a general sales enquiry. This checklist is for your own preparation and does not submit information.
