Quick answer
In September 2026, new Huawei phones on Jumia Nigeria cost from about ₦430,000 (nova 12i) to ₦2.1 million (Mate X7 foldable). The popular Huawei P30 Pro now sells used for about ₦80,000 to ₦280,000 on Jiji, and the P30 for ₦60,000 to ₦175,000. Before you buy, know two things. Huawei phones released since late 2019 don’t come with Google Play. And Huawei’s Nigeria website currently lists no phones, so what you find locally comes from third-party sellers.

Huawei P30 and P30 Pro price in Nigeria
The P30 series launched in March 2019. It still gets the most searches of any Huawei phone in Nigeria. It’s now sold mostly used, and it’s the last Huawei flagship generation that shipped with Google apps.
| Model | Condition | Price on Jiji (Sept 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| P30 128GB (6GB or 8GB RAM) | Used | ₦60,000 – ₦175,000 (most ₦100,000 – ₦165,000) |
| P30 128GB/8GB | Listed as “brand new” | ₦180,000 (one ad, Onitsha) |
| P30 Pro 128GB / 256GB | Used | ₦80,000 – ₦280,000 |
| P30 Pro | Listed as “brand new” | ₦190,000 – ₦250,000 |
Source: Jiji.ng Huawei P30 (18 ads) and P30 Pro (68 ads) listings, checked 28 September 2026. A 2019 phone sold as “brand new” in 2026 is old stock or refurbished at best, so inspect it as you would a used phone.
Corrections to our earlier guide. The old version of this page said the P30 had a 6.47-inch screen and the P30 Pro used a “Kirin 9810”. It also priced the P30 Pro at ₦650,000 and the Mate 20 Pro at ₦950,000. Both phones actually use the Kirin 980. The 6.47-inch screen belongs to the Pro, and those prices are years out of date.

P30 or P30 Pro? Pay extra for the Pro if you care about zoom photos (5x periscope versus 3x), a bigger battery or real water resistance (IP68 versus IP53). If you mainly want a clean phone with Google apps under ₦150,000, a good P30 is enough.
Huawei Mate 30 price and specs
The Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro were announced in Munich on 19 September 2019. Both use the Kirin 990. The Mate 30 has a 6.62-inch screen and a 4,200mAh battery, and the Mate 30 Pro has a 6.53-inch screen and a 4,500mAh battery. When we checked Jiji on 28 September 2026, it showed no live Mate 30 or Mate 30 Pro listings, so we can’t give a reliable current price. If a seller offers you one, compare it with the P30 Pro prices above. The Mate 30 has no Google Play (see below), so it shouldn’t cost more than a P30 Pro in similar condition.
Huawei phones under ₦200,000
No brand-new current Huawei model on Jumia was under ₦200,000 in September 2026. The cheapest was the nova 12i at ₦429,990. Under ₦200,000, your realistic Huawei options are used:
- Huawei P30 (used): ₦77,000 to ₦110,000 for budget units, and ₦130,000 to ₦175,000 for clean 8GB units.
- Huawei P30 Pro (used): ₦80,000 to ₦130,000 for worn units, and ₦165,000 to ₦200,000 for mid-grade ones.
If you’d rather have a new phone with a warranty at this budget, look at Tecno and Infinix. Our Tecno Camon 18 guide and Tecno Spark 8 guide compare current budget options.
Google Play, AppGallery and what that means for you
US sanctions stopped Huawei from licensing Google Mobile Services for new devices. As a result, international Huawei phones from the Mate 30 (September 2019) onwards ship with Huawei’s own app store, AppGallery, instead of Google Play. The P30 and P30 Pro came earlier, which is why they still run Gmail, Google Maps and YouTube normally.
In practice, on a nova 14, Pura 80 or Mate X6:
- WhatsApp, Facebook and many popular apps are available through AppGallery or the developer’s own website. Some Nigerian banking and fintech apps may not be.
- Apps that depend on Google services may fail to log in or send notifications. Examples include Google Drive backups, some ride-hailing apps and some games.
- Before paying, install the three or four apps you can’t live without, especially your bank app, and check that they open and log in.
What affects Huawei prices in Nigeria
- No official phone channel. When we checked in September 2026, Huawei’s Nigeria website (consumer.huawei.com/ng) featured wearables and accessories but no smartphones. New Huawei phones in Nigeria are imported by independent sellers, so prices move with the exchange rate and with each seller’s shipping costs.
- Regional versions. Some imported units are made for other markets and may ship with different software or language settings. Ask which version you’re getting.
- Warranty. Without an official Huawei retailer, a warranty depends on the seller. A 6- or 12-month seller warranty in writing is worth paying a little more for.
- Condition and storage on used P30s. Screen burn-in, a replaced back glass and 256GB versus 128GB can each move the price by tens of thousands of naira.
Importing phones or electronics to sell in Nigeria?
With no official Huawei channel, margins depend on your landed cost. Wigmore Trading’s free calculator adds up duty, levies, freight and clearing so you can price each unit before you order. We can also review your paperwork before the goods reach the port.
For a shipment already on the way, a customs pre-clearance review helps you catch classification and documentation problems early.
Buyer’s checklist
- Confirm the exact model in Settings > About phone (for example, P30 versus P30 Pro, or nova 14 versus nova 14 Pro). Sellers do mix them up.
- Check the IMEI. Dial *#06# and match the number with the box and the SIM tray.
- Test your apps before paying, especially on post-2019 models without Google Play.
- Remove the previous owner’s accounts. The phone should be factory-reset and let you set it up without asking for someone else’s Huawei ID or Google account.
- Inspect the OLED screen on a white and a grey background for burn-in, green tint or dead pixels. These are common on used P30s.
- Test the cameras, including the zoom lens, plus charging, both SIMs and the speaker.
- Get a receipt with the IMEI and any warranty terms written on it.
Scammers often pretend to be well-known companies. Wigmore Trading’s safety page lists our only official channels. Our UK-used phone buying guide covers more checks.
